Hi, my name is Angela Lacroix. I 'm an artist and designer based in Nelson, British Columbia. 

HOW I GOT STARTED

My career as a graphic artist actually began in the demanding, fast-paced world of commercial print shops and regional indie publishing. For years, I was the person making sure the ink hit the paper correctly, managing tight editorial deadlines, and figuring out how to make a community's stories look as vibrant on the page as they felt in real life.

What started as a deep respect for ink-and-paper production eventually grew into a full-blown obsession with tactile, human-centered design. I fell in love with the things you can actually hold in your hands—the weight of a beautifully laid-out book, the grit of a silkscreened gig poster, and the complex engineering of tabletop board games. Recently, I took the leap to bring that focus front and center, trading the corporate desk to run my own full-time freelance design and illustration studio.
